Shibuya Bar Street

Shibuya Bar Street or Nonbei Yokocho meaning Drunkard’s Alley is a small lane backing the railway lines behind the massive Shibuya Station. This small precinct houses a multitude of tiny bars many capable of holding just three or four customers at a time. Being so tiny many of the bars are usually taken up by regular customers but if you are lucky enough to find a small place to fit they are an amazing experience. It is quite common for a service or space charge to be added to you bill, a little like a parking ticket based on the amount of time you have been in the premises, but rates are usually reasonable, so are the drinks, so the experience far out ways the cost.
