Ikebukuro

Ikebukuro is home to many of Japan’s large department stores and is also home to a large shopping centre known as Sunshine City that houses a planetarium, observatory, aquarium, indoor theme park and an ancient orient museum.

Sunshine City is around 600m east of Ikebukuro Station accessible from Tokyo on the Maurounochi subway line. To the west of Ikebukuro station is the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Space.
