 Ueno is Tokyo’s cultural capital, it is home to the National Museum of Western Art, the National Science Museum, the Tokyo National Museum, the national Museum of Western Art and the Ueno Zoo. Uneo is a great place to relax with a visit to the Zoo or Ueno Park, you can also do some great bargain shopping at the Ameyoko Market. Te easiest way to get to Uneo is via the JR Yamanote Line or the Ginza Subway line that both stop at Ueno Station.

Below is a Map of Ueno with the major attractions numbered. You will note that most of the areas attractions centers around Ueno Park also known as Ueno Koen with the large ueno station to the east of the park. Ueno is also the termating point of the Keisei Electric Railway's Main Line to Narita, Their subway station is located at the bottom of the park (B) and only a short walk from JR Ueno station (A). Their Skyliner service to Narita is much cheaper than JR's Narita Express. |
